Are you ready to start? Let’s explore now!
What are Shopify Related Products?
Shopify related products are suggestions that complement the item a buyer is now looking at. Therefore, using these items can help increase conversion by encouraging customers to buy more.
However, there are some similarities among related products with cross-selling and up-selling.
Cross-Selling vs Upselling vs Related Products
The act or practice of selling an extra product or service to an existing customer is known as cross-selling. These items are known as related products,” similar products,’ or ‘accessories’ in online retail. Customers didn’t come to your online store to purchase it.
Besides that, with Upselling, a seller encourages a consumer to buy more expensive products or upgrades. Therefore, shop owners can achieve a more successful sale. This kind of sale strategy contains the same items at a higher price, with better quality or additional features, and so on.
To conclude that, we will see the difference among Up-Selling and the other two terms. Upselling encourages buyers to purchase a better and more expensive version of the product they intended to buy. Meanwhile, both cross-selling and related products just encourage shoppers to purchase additional items.

Note: Additional code modifications are required depending on your theme to guarantee the new feature works. As needed, consult with your development team.
