The eCommerce market is growing rapidly. Nowadays, there are more and more online stores. There are a variety of reasons for this, including: simple access from anywhere; buyers save time, effort, and money. .With ecommerce, owners of online stores want to increase the conversion rates and the average order value. So to achieve it, shop owners should have specific strategies. Hence, in this blog, ArrowTheme will recommend to you one of that strategies is the Shopify related products. Are you ready to start? Let’s explore now.

What are Shopify related products?

Basically, Shopify related products are suggestions that complement the item a buyer is now looking at. Therefore, using these items can help increase the conversion by  encouraging customers to buy more.

However, there is some similar among related products with cross-selling and up-selling

Differences among Cross-Selling vs Up-Selling vs Related Products

The act or practice of selling an extra product or service to an existing customer is known as cross-selling. These items are known as related products,”similar products,’ or ‘accessories’ in online retail. Customers didn’t come to your online store with the intention of purchasing it.

Besides that, with Up-Selling, a seller encourages a consumer to buy more expensive products or upgrades. Therefore, shop owners can achieve a more successful sale. This kind of sale strategy contains the same items at a higher price, with better quality or additional features, and so on.

To conclude that, we will see the difference among Up-Selling and the other two terms. Upselling encourages buyers to purchase a better and more expensive version of the product they intended to buy. Meanwhile, both cross selling and related products just encourage shoppers to purchase additional items.
