How to add it to your Shopify product pages?

Locate the code in your theme that needs to be changed.

You’ll need to install some code in Shopify to enable related products. Select Edit Code from the drop down menu after going to the Online Store.

Click product.liquid on the following screen, under Templates, to bring up the code you’ll be changing.

After the code has been filled in, look for a piece of code that looks like this:

{% section ‘product-template’ %}

You can look for it (use ctrl + f to open the find bar), but it’ll probably be near the top of the code

Paste in the necessary code

After you’ve found the part where you’ll be adding code, press “enter” on your keyboard to create a blank line below the highlighted code, and then paste in the following code:

{% section ‘related-products’ %}

This is the code that will allow you to use Shopify related products on your product pages. It should look like this once you’ve pasted it in:

Press Save.

Create a new category for related products.

You’ll then need to make a new section for what you’ve just enabled. Add a new section by scrolling down to Sections and clicking Add a new section. Nextly. name your new section “related-products” when prompted. Moreover, remember to put a dash between the words.

Press Create section.

For the theme you’re using, add related-products code. 

After you’ve finished creating the section, a new tab called related-products.liquid will appear, which contains some default code. 

Depending on the theme you’re using, you’ll delete the default code and replace it with your own.

Note: Additional code modifications require depending on your theme to guarantee the new feature works. As needed, consult with your development team. 

On your Shopify front end, enable related products. 

Finally, return to your admin’s Online Store and select Customize to enable Shopify-related products on your actual online storefront. 

Select Product pages from the drop-down menu on the next screen. On the left-hand navigation menu, you’ll see a related products button. By selecting it, you’ll be sent to a section where you can check the box next to Show related products. 

After that, just click Save and you’re done! Related products will now appear on your Shopify product pages.
